White Mountain Voices cordially invites the public to a heartwarming holiday concert, "Voices of Christmas," featuring masterworks by Bach and Vivaldi, American holiday spirituals, and classic carols. The concerts will be held:
Saturday, December 20, at 3 PM at the Medallion Opera House in Gorham and Sunday, December 21 at 3 PM at the First Congregational Church in Littleton.
This year's performance includes a North Country premiere of Da pacem Domine by renowned Estonian composer Arvo Part, alongside uplifting spirituals such as Go Tell It on the Mountain and Sweet L'il Jesus Boy. The program also features a joyful selection of seasonal carols performed by the White Mountain Youth Voices, the region's only community chorus for children ages 6-14.
The choir is joined by an ensemble of regional professional instrumentalists, and showcases outstanding vocal soloists including Min Young Song, Karen Rennar, Andres Hudson-Sabens, and Oliver Scott, all of whom are active music educators in Grafton County and beyond. The concert concludes with a tradional holiday singalong of cherished favorites such as White Christmas and Sliver Bells.
Artistic Director Victoria Cole says of the concert, "In a world where we all crave beauty, peace, and community spirit, we need this magnificent and moving music." We hope you can join us for one of these special performances!
